I believe in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where we work together to explore your unique experiences.  I possess professional expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, substance use, and co-occurring mental health conditions.

  I believe that every person has a desire to improve his or her quality of life, and it is my responsibility to assist those seeking help with that task. I do so by working with the client to develop attainable and measurable treatment goals, while dissecting all facets of the presenting problem. My approach is one of deep exploration with the aim of, in conjunction with the client, developing solutions that can be applied in the immediate and long term. My training is in crisis stabilization, grief support, and substance abuse with co-occurring mental health issues.

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar illness, and addiction. I will work with your mental healthcare team to collaborate and develop a plan that enables you to achieve your goals. My approach is grounded in the interpersonal theory of nursing. I am especially interested in mood disorder, anxiety, and addiction psychiatry. I am nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed to practice independently as a PMHNP in Maryland and Washington, DC. This licensure includes prescriptive authority. I completed a Master’s in Nursing at George Mason University in 2012 and my PMHNP certificate from George Washington University in 2020.
